On September 11, 2026, the government implemented regulatory measures on domestic refined oil prices. Since the last price adjustment on August 28, escalating US-Iran conflicts have driven international crude oil prices sharply higher. To mitigate the impact of rising global oil costs on the domestic market, temporary controls have been introduced for refined oil prices while maintaining the existing pricing mechanism framework.

Based on the current pricing formula, the standard-grade petrol and diesel prices should have risen by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per tonne, respectively, on September 11. However, following the regulatory adjustments, the actual increases were set at 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne. China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation, along with other crude processors, are directed to organize production and distribution of refined oil products to ensure stable supply and strict compliance with national pricing policies.

Local authorities are urged to enhance market supervision and inspection efforts, cracking down on any violations of the national pricing policy to maintain orderly market operations.
