HUAYAN ROBOTICS (01021) opened sharply higher, climbing more than 11% in early Hong Kong trading on Tuesday. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 11.33% at HK$10.22, with turnover reaching HK$1.302 million.
The surge follows an announcement from the Shanghai Stock Exchange on September 4 confirming that HUAYAN ROBOTICS will be officially added to the Stock Connect list on September 7, 2026. This move will allow mainland investors to directly trade the company's shares through both the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong stock connect channels.
HUAYAN ROBOTICS stands out as the only platform-based robotics enterprise in this inclusion round that covers collaborative robot complete machines, core motion components for embodied intelligence, and precision motion platforms simultaneously.
Adding to the positive momentum, on September 4, the company unveiled its next-generation HRC platform—a "cerebellum" system designed for the embodied intelligence era. This platform serves as a standardized real-time control foundation that bridges upper-level AI large models with physical robot bodies, enabling different AI "brains" to share one stable and reliable underlying execution "cerebellum." The innovation aims to address critical industry bottlenecks, including the difficulty of deploying AI algorithms into physical robots, insufficient precision in dynamic interaction control, and the challenge of reusing software-hardware coupled systems.
