Yen sets stronger midpoint at 6.7743 against the dollar, climbing 23 basis points

On September 11, the central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar was set at 6.7743, marking an upward adjustment of 23 basis points.

According to the CME Group's FedWatch tool, the probability of the Federal Reserve maintaining its current interest rate in September stands at 28.8%, while the likelihood of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate hike is 71.3%.

For October, the tool indicates a 17.6% chance of the Fed holding rates steady. Meanwhile, the probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point increase is 54.8%, and the likelihood of a total 50-basis-point hike is 27.6%.
