Shares of WENGE AI (01956) jumped more than 10% in early trading on Thursday, before paring gains to trade 7.59% higher at HK$97.05, with turnover reaching HK$65.98 million.
The company announced on September 6 that its H-shares had been added to the list of eligible securities for the Stock Connect scheme, with the inclusion taking effect from today, September 7. Following this move, eligible investors from mainland China will be able to directly buy and sell the company's H-shares through the Stock Connect mechanism. Management expects this development to broaden its investor base and enhance trading liquidity for its H-shares.
Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 26, WENGE AI is recognized as the first "decision-making large model" stock to debut in the market. The company specializes in the research, development, and application of artificial intelligence and decision-making large model technologies, having launched Decitron, its universal decision-making large model, and built the industry's first full-stack decision-making AI product ecosystem.
In the first half of this year, WENGE AI reported revenue of RMB 173 million, representing a 46% year-on-year increase. Net loss attributable to parent company shareholders narrowed to RMB 88.96 million, down 27.6% compared to the same period last year.
