Raffles Family Office (RFO) has announced the appointment of Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye as its Head of Emerging Markets and Business Development, with a specific focus on expanding business tied to the Africa-Asia investment corridor for multi-family offices across Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Uwihanganye will report directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Chi-Man Kwan in this newly established role. According to RFO, the appointment underscores its conviction in Africa's potential, where shifting demographics and market dynamics are expected to accelerate wealth creation, subsequently driving demand for more sophisticated investment strategies, wealth structuring, and succession planning solutions.

Expressing enthusiasm for the new hire, Kwan commented, "We are thrilled to welcome Jean. Africa's potential extends well beyond what many recognize, and helping people tap into that potential requires understanding the individuals on both ends of the corridor. We look forward to building further achievements as our engagement with the region deepens."

Uwihanganye brings over fifteen years of experience spanning government, capital markets, and cross-border initiatives. Most recently, he served as Rwanda's Minister of State for Infrastructure. Prior to that, his diplomatic career included roles as Rwanda's High Commissioner to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Brunei, as well as Ambassador to Indonesia. During his tenure, the Inclusive FinTech Forum, now recognized as Africa's largest global financial and technology gathering, was conceived and launched.

Additionally, Uwihanganye previously held the position of Dean of the African Ambassadors' Corps in Singapore, representing all 54 African nations in service to the Asia-Pacific business community. Earlier in his career, he served as a director at a leading construction firm in Rwanda.
