HG Semi Cancels 1.81 Million Awarded Shares, Cutting Issued Base by 0.15%

HG Semiconductor Limited (HG Semi) reported a minor reduction in share capital after cancelling 1.81 million awarded shares on 30 April 2026. The cancellation stemmed from grantees under the company’s Share Award Scheme (adopted 29 December 2023) failing to meet specified performance targets.

The share cancellation lowered HG Semi’s issued share count (excluding treasury shares) from 1.17 billion to 1.17 billion, representing a 0.15% contraction. No treasury shares were involved, and the cancelled shares carried an issue price of HKD 0 per share.

Following the adjustment, the closing balance of issued shares stands at 1.17 billion as of 30 April 2026, compared with 1.17 billion on 1 April 2026. The company confirmed that the board duly authorised the cancellation and that all applicable listing rules and regulatory requirements were met. No share repurchases, redemptions or on-market sales of treasury shares were reported during the period.
