Fuel Prices Shift This Evening as Emergency Controls Kick In

Since domestic refined oil prices were last adjusted on August 28, the renewed escalation of the US-Iran conflict has driven international crude prices steadily higher. To cushion the domestic market from the impact of rising global oil costs, temporary control measures on domestic refined oil prices have been introduced while maintaining the existing pricing mechanism framework.

Calculations under the current pricing scheme indicate that on September 11, domestic gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices should have risen by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per tonne, respectively. However, after the adjustment measures, the actual increases have been set at 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne, reflecting a moderated rise.

Major oil producers, including PetroChina, Sinopec, and CNOOC, along with other refining enterprises, have been directed to organize production and transportation of refined oil products to ensure stable market supply and strictly implement national pricing policies. Local authorities are also being urged to step up market supervision and inspection efforts, taking firm action against any failure to comply with these policies in order to maintain orderly market operations.

Consumers who encounter pricing irregularities may report them through the 12315 platform. Attached herewith are the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel across various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and key cities.
