Temporary Fuel Price Adjustments Implemented to Ease Market Pressure

According to information released on September 11, global crude oil prices have surged significantly since the domestic refined oil price adjustment on August 28, driven by renewed tensions between the United States and Iran. Notably, crude prices in the Middle East have experienced another abnormal spike.

To mitigate the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market and ensure economic stability and social welfare, temporary control measures on domestic refined oil prices are being introduced while maintaining the existing pricing mechanism framework.

Based on the current pricing mechanism, domestic gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices should have increased by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per ton respectively on September 11. However, after adjustments, the actual increases are set at 260 yuan and 250 yuan per ton.

The National Development and Reform Commission will guide refined oil producers and sellers to fully support production and transportation efforts, ensuring stable market supply. Additionally, market supervision and inspection efforts will be intensified in coordination with relevant departments. Strict action will be taken against illegal activities such as failing to comply with national pricing policies, to maintain orderly markets and safeguard consumer interests.

Attached are the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel in various provinces (regions, municipalities) and central cities.
