BNP Paribas Financial Markets Exits Derivative Position in Guotai Junan International Amid Privatisation Process

Hong Kong, 8 September 2026 — BNP Paribas Financial Markets, classified as a Class (1) associate acting in concert with the offeror in the proposed privatisation of Guotai Junan International Holdings Ltd (Guotai Junan International), has disclosed the complete closure of its derivative position in the target company’s shares.

On 7 September 2026, BNP Paribas Financial Markets closed out a derivative contract referencing 790,000 Guotai Junan International shares. The transaction was executed at a reference price of $2.8785 per share, resulting in a settlement amount of approximately $2.27 million. Following the closing, BNP Paribas Financial Markets holds no further positions—either physical or derivative—in Guotai Junan International.

The dealings were conducted on BNP Paribas Financial Markets’ own account. The disclosure was filed under Rule 22 of the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers, as the privatisation of Guotai Junan International proceeds via a scheme of arrangement.
