On September 9, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (HIBOR) mostly declined, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage pricing, falling 0.833 basis points to 2.88387%.
The three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, slipped 2.964 basis points to 3.05000%. Meanwhile, the overnight rate dropped sharply by 37.464 basis points to 2.42250%.
Other short-term tenors also saw declines, with the one-week rate down 22.661 basis points to 2.52196% and the two-week rate easing 18.327 basis points to 2.59542%. The two-month rate fell 1.280 basis points to 2.97988%.
On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate edged down 0.214 basis points to 3.23744%, while the one-year rate inched up 0.047 basis points to 3.58095%.
