Crude oil exports from Kuwait have climbed back to roughly one million barrels per day as shipping through the Strait of Hormuz gradually resumes, with a portion of that volume being moved via ship-to-ship transfers outside the strategic waterway.

Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah, the international marketing director at Kuwait Petroleum Corp., confirmed the state-owned producer is now also delivering cargoes directly to buyers. The company has utilized both its own tanker fleet and chartered vessels to keep shipments flowing.

As more carriers find safe passage through the strait, Kuwait's export levels have recovered to nearly two-thirds of the roughly 1.6 million barrels per day it shipped on average last year. The country's outbound volumes had plunged to multi-year lows following the outbreak of conflict in Iran in late February.
