UBS AG Lowers Stake Slightly in Guotai Junan International Amid Pending Scheme of Arrangement

Hong Kong’s Executive received a Rule 22 disclosure stating that UBS AG, classified as a Class (6) associate of Guotai Junan International Holdings Ltd. (Guotai Junan International), executed four on-market transactions on 2 September 2026 while a privatisation by way of scheme of arrangement is under way.

UBS AG purchased 35,000 shares at an average price close to HKD 2.88 and sold 52,000 shares at a similar price range, resulting in a net disposal of 17,000 shares. Following these trades, the bank’s holding in Guotai Junan International declined to 686.57 million shares, representing 7.20% of the company’s issued share capital.

All transactions were conducted for UBS AG’s own account. UBS AG is ultimately owned by UBS Group AG.
