To strengthen the village-level public health service system, consolidate grassroots health responsibilities, and improve residents' health awareness and disease prevention capabilities, Dawo Township has taken concrete steps to safeguard healthcare on the highland. Partnering with the township health center, the local government has launched targeted training sessions, intensified health education campaigns, and organized comprehensive physical checkups for all villagers, ensuring key public health tasks are effectively delivered.

A series of specialized training programs have been rolled out in collaboration with the township health center to boost the professional competence of village-level health workers. These sessions focus on the unique challenges of highland medicine, detailing core responsibilities, service priorities, and prevention strategies for 35 common chronic conditions prevalent in the region. Practical guidance covers screening procedures for high-incidence diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, and hepatitis B, alongside free checkup policies and daily prevention measures. Additionally, health screenings were provided for the newly elected committee members of all four villages.

Outreach efforts have leveraged village centers, grid management systems, and door-to-door visits to spread knowledge on chronic disease prevention, infectious disease control, and routine health maintenance. The campaign highlights the scope, eligibility, schedule, and public benefits of the upcoming free physical examinations. Through accessible and widespread communication, the goal is to correct misconceptions, foster a mindset of early screening, early detection, and early treatment, and encourage villagers to take an active role in managing their health and participating in public health initiatives.

The free physical examination drive officially runs from September 7 to September 15, covering all residents across the township's four administrative villages. Tailored to highland health needs, the program includes chronic disease screenings, routine checkups, and maternal and child health services, effectively addressing gaps in grassroots healthcare delivery and reinforcing the region's medical safety net.
