Ninebot Unveils City-Level Physical AI Strategy, Expanding from Autonomous Vehicles to Urban Governance

At a recent strategic launch event, Ninebot announced a major upgrade to its "City-Level Physical AI" strategy, leveraging its proprietary "Ninebot Brain" to power a wider array of urban governance applications. The company showcased its new "Ninebot Rent" mini-program, designed for scenarios such as express logistics, commercial distribution, and short-haul city transport, while also opening up franchise opportunities for its unmanned transport capacity through the platform.

According to Ninebot CEO Kong Qi, the "Ninebot Brain" is a powerful intelligent core honed through real-world scenarios and extensive L4 operational experience. Built on this foundation, Ninebot developed its Robovan product line and, using the Zelos Inside model, collaborates with ecosystem partners to co-develop a diverse range of unmanned vehicle products for various industries. This has enabled the company to construct a city-level service platform that serves users, fleet management, and operational oversight, transforming autonomous vehicles from isolated smart machines into an efficient, city-wide unmanned transport network.

On the commercial front, Ninebot introduced "Ninebot Rent," offering daily, monthly, and annual rental plans, with city-level transport capacity assembled from both self-operated and franchised fleets. Franchisees can gain access to vehicle management and dispatch capabilities through the platform without needing to build their own technical teams. In terms of autonomous driving technology, Ninebot continually refines its algorithms and systems through a persistent data loop, feeding operational insights back into development to improve the vehicles' ability to navigate and respond to complex road conditions.

Addressing functional and performance safety, Ninebot has implemented redundant safety designs for critical functions like vehicle control and communication, and has conducted thousands of tests to ensure vehicle stability and reliability. At the event, Ninebot also signed a cooperation agreement with GAC Leading Journey, combining its L4 autonomous driving technology with GAC's commercial vehicle R&D and manufacturing expertise. This partnership aims to align unmanned vehicle development, production, and quality control with standard automotive industry practices.

To date, Ninebot has deployed over 30,000 Robovan units globally, accumulating more than 250 million kilometers of L4 operation—making it the world's largest operator of unmanned vehicles.
