Shares of TENCENT (00700) climbed more than 3% during the early trading session on Tuesday. At the time of writing, the stock was up 2.37% to HK$440.8, with turnover reaching HK$5.049 billion.
The competitive landscape in the AI-powered office software sector has shifted toward ecosystem development. On September 2, Tencent's AI office product WorkBuddy officially launched its open platform, onboarding more than 100 hardware, industry application, and developer partners in its initial phase. This makes it the first Agent-based infrastructure in China to integrate a three-tier ecosystem spanning hardware, industry applications, and developers.
In addition, WorkBuddy recently initiated a back-to-school campaign, targeting the higher education AI application market as a new growth frontier.
Notably, HSBC issued a research note stating that Tencent's Honor of Kings: ACE launched on mobile and PC platforms on September 10. The bank estimates that, based on its post-launch popularity being similar to Teamfight Tactics, Honor of Kings: ACE could generate approximately RMB 3.6 billion in total revenue over its first twelve months. However, HSBC also believes that realizing the game's full potential will require time.
