A notable unicorn has reignited its journey toward an initial public offering on the A-share market, following a prolonged preparation period spanning five years and twenty disclosed progress reports.
On September 10, the China Securities Regulatory Commission's official website revealed that COFCO Fulinmen Co., Ltd. has launched its A-share listing guidance. The guidance institution is CITIC Securities Co., Ltd., the law firm is Zhong Lun Law Firm, and the accounting firm is Baker Tilly China (Special General Partnership).
Notably, the company initially started its A-share listing guidance on July 28, 2021, with CICC as the original guidance institution. By July 2026, it had disclosed twenty periodic progress reports on its listing guidance work.
Established in November 2020, COFCO Fulinmen is a provider of grain-blended oil products, primarily engaged in food production, food processing, brand sales, and global agri-food supply chain operations, offering grains, oils and fats, sugar, cotton, food, and other products.
The company's edible oil market share ranks among the top four in the industry, making it the only state-owned entity among leading grain and oil brands. It has consistently ranked first in comprehensive market share for rice products for several consecutive years. The company serves as a strategic partner of China's aerospace program, the official cooking oil of the Chinese Women's Volleyball Team, and the official designated cooking oil for the Hangzhou Asian Games. In 2024, its brand value reached 73.676 billion yuan, and in 2025, it ranked 27th among Chinese companies on the Global Unicorn 500 list.
Fulinmen is a grain and oil food brand under COFCO Group, which is rooted in modern agriculture, agri-food trade, deep processing of agricultural products, and bio-manufacturing as its core businesses. The group also ventures into nutritious and healthy foods, industrial finance, urban services, and technology services, aiming to become a globally leading international agri-food enterprise.
COFCO Group is China's largest grain and oil food import and export company and one of the country's major food producers. Since 1994, it has consistently been listed among the global Fortune 500 companies. As of the end of 2025, the group's total assets exceeded 700 billion yuan, with overall operating revenue reaching 589.1 billion yuan in 2025.
Between June and July 2026, the company's legal representative changed from Xu Guanghong to Ye Huiqing, alongside a completed board of directors election. Liu Yuhui and Li Zhengqiang were added as independent directors, filling the two previously vacant positions to meet the statutory ratio requirements for corporate governance of listed companies.
According to COFCO Group's official website, Ye Huiqing joined the group in 2024 and currently serves as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of COFCO Group.
The twenty progress reports on listing guidance work disclosed by COFCO Fulinmen indicate a structured and steady approach toward its IPO ambitions, with the recent switch in guidance institutions signaling a strategic adjustment in its listing preparations.
