European Telco Giants Discuss Joint Bid for Satellite-to-Mobile Services, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

--Europe's major telecommunication operators are in early discussions over forming a consortium to bid on satellite spectrum and offer direct-to-mobile service, Bloomberg says, citing unnamed sources.
--Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Vodafone Group and Telefonica would submit a joint bid to secure a share of the spectrum that the European Union has proposed to set aside for a local operator, Bloomberg adds.
-- No final decisions has been made yet regarding the consortium or plans to submit a bid, Bloomberg says.
