Wens Foodstuff Sees Mixed August Chicken, Hog Sales

Wens Foodstuff (SHE:300498) logged August chicken sales of 3.33 billion yuan, up 13% from 2.96 billion yuan the previous year.
The number of chickens sold in the same month rose 6.3% to 124.1 million, with average broiler price rising 6.1% to 12.89 yuan per kilogram, according to a Monday after-hours filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Hog sales revenue declined 17% to 4.02 billion yuan from 4.83 billion yuan. The number of hogs sold dipped 8.4% to 3.0 million, with the average hog price declining 22% to 10.86 yuan per kilogram.
