HSBC Holdings (HSBC) said Thursday that Pam Kaur plans to step down as chief financial officer and executive director next year.
Kaur will assume an advisory role to support group chief executive.
HSBC said it will consider both internal and external candidates for the CFO role.
The company's shares were down 1.2% in premarket activity.
