Chevron (CVX) is evaluating potential investments in European LNG import and regasification capacity but wants more details on the European Union's methane regulations before making a long-term commitment, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing an interview with Freeman Shaheen, the company's global gas president.
The infrastructure would enable the US oil major to supply imported gas directly into the European grid and serve downstream customers, the report said.
Chevron did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
