0119 GMT - Long-term Japanese government bond yields are higher amid continued expectations for faster rate increases from the Bank of Japan. A rise in domestic yields comes after gains in U.S. Treasury yields on Friday following firm U.S. consumer inflation data. Ahead of the Fed and BOJ policy meetings later this week, investors are focusing on any policy-related developments as well as the Iran conflict and energy prices. The 10-year JGB yield is half a basis point higher at 2.990%.
