Takeda's Investigational Plaque Psoriasis Drug Accepted for Priority Review by US FDA

Takeda Pharmaceutical (TAK) investigational zasocitinib's new drug application for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis has been accepted for priority review by the US Food and Drug Administration, the company said Monday.

The drug showed "rapid, durable and consistent" skin clearance in a phase 3 trial involving nearly 3,000 patients, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 4.1% in premarket activity.
