Cyprium Metals Says Western Australia Copper Cathode Restart Project Progresses With Heap Acid Commissioning

Cyprium Metals (ASX:CYM) said the commissioning of the heaps with acid solution started during the phase one copper cathode restart project at the Nifty Copper Complex in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Sulfuric acid transportation infrastructure and the eastern intermediate liquor solution and pregnant liquor solution ponds are also being commissioned.

The electrowinning plant and solvent extraction plant refurbishment works are substantially mechanically complete. The first cathode is now expected in the fourth quarter during wet commissioning and ramp-up.

Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Monday.
