YPF (YPF) is nearing two to three liquefied natural gas sales contracts totaling 500,000 to 1.5 million metric tons annually for its proposed $24 billion export project, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing Chief Executive Horacio Marin.

The company aims to secure the contracts before making a final investment decision on the Argentina LNG project in November, Marin reportedly said.

The project, a venture with Eni (E) and Abu Dhabi's XRG, is expected to produce 12 million metric tons of LNG annually using an offshore terminal on Argentina's Atlantic coast, the report added.

YPF did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
